The school uses a scheme of work for PE called the Get Set 4 PE. We employ a sports coach to teach the fundamentals, fitness, athletics and games sections of the curriculum in Years 2-6, during class PPA time. A teacher in each phase, with PE expertise, teaches gymnastics and dance lessons to each class. All of our skills are set out in progression ladders. Here is an example.

In Early years and year 1, some of the skills in the progression ladders are taught in an ongoing way through the environment and play and others are taught explicitly, as described here. In Reception and Year 1, Dance and Gymnastics are taught by our PE coach.
