The purpose of the home learning we set is:

• To encourage parents to engage in the learning their children are doing at school and equip them to feed back to us about learning needs they see in their children.
• To enable children to practice and reinforce learning at school.
• To encourage self-discipline and organisation around independent learning, so pupils are ready for Secondary school.

We have designed our home learning programme to ensure it is accessible to all our families, offers choice and opportunity to be creative. We have attempted to keep the amount of home learning we set at a reasonable level. We think it very important that children have plenty of time in their lives to play!
