Two Year Old and Nursery Applications
Two Year Olds
At Montem we have a small and friendly Nursery room for two year olds. Children are eligible to start the term after their second birthday. If you live in Islington and are receiving benefits, or only working for minimal hours, then you may be entitled to a free, funded, 15 hour place. Please visit the Islington website for more information and details of how to apply for a funded place. If you qualify for a funded place, you will be issued with an 'eligibility code' which you will need to bring into school so that we can verify it with the local authority before we can process your application.
We offer 15 hours in a range of ways:
-Mornings (8.45-11.45 Mon-Fri)
-Afternoons (12.30-3.30 Mon-Fri)
-Two and a half day places (8.45-3.30 Monday and Tuesday and 8.45-11.45 on Wednesday, OR 12.30-3.30 on Wednesday and 8.45-3.30 on Thursday and Friday)
If you are not eligible for a funded place, or if you would like to top-up with additional hours, we also offer the option for paid places. Please see the Admissions Pack below for information on prices and details of how to apply for funded or paid places.
Three and Four Year Olds
All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 hours of nursery or childcare, and some working families are eligible for 30 hours. We offer both 15 and 30 hours places to children in the term after their third birthday.

If you are not eligible for 30 hours, or do not wish to apply, you do not need register online, and your child can attend nursery for 15 hours (half day). We offer 15 hours as morning and afternoon sessions:
Morning sessions: Start at 8:45 End at 11:45
Afternoon sessions: Start at 12:30 End at 3:30
If you are not eligible for 30 hours but would like your child to attend for more than 15 hours, you will be able to pay to top up.
30 hours nursery
To be eligible for 30 hours of nursery, both parents must be earning, or expect to earn, the equivalent of 16 hours at National Minimum or Living Wage, and up to a maximum of £100,000.
