Science is taught through an interleaved approach, helping pupils remember broad scientific knowledge over the long-term, as well as ensuring that teachers and pupils can effectively identify and address misconceptions. We place a lot of value on practical investigations. We also often link it to other subjects, such as writing.

In EYFS to Year 1, although specific Science content is matched to topics, some skills are taught in an ongoing way through the continuous provision opportunities offered. See Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
